Candle Care

A few simple habits that make every candle burn better and last longer.

Trim the wick to 6mm (1/4 inch) before every burn — a long wick causes smoking and uneven burning.
Let the first burn last long enough for wax to melt edge to edge, usually two to three hours — this prevents tunnelling later.
Burn on a flat, heat-safe surface, away from drafts, curtains and anything flammable.
Keep lit candles within sight, and out of reach of children and pets.
Stop burning when about 1cm of wax remains, to protect the container and avoid overheating.
Store candles away from direct sunlight to keep their scent and colour from fading.
